We try to put Grace to bed around 10 PM every night. She sleeps in her Fisher Price Rock 'n Play next to Eric's side of the bed…that doesn't mean that he wakes up to her when she cries though! I never realized that he was such a heavy sleeper until we had a baby.

People always ask if she's a good sleeper. Overall, she is! The usual trend is that she sleeps about 3 hours before she wakes up for another bottle. Sometimes she'll go longer…4 - 6 hours, but this is pretty rare and uncommon. This means that I usually get up with her around 1 - 2 AM, and then again around 4 - 5 AM. The last time I get up with her around 7 - 8 AM…sometimes I try to go back to sleep after that feeding and sometimes I don't. It's a tossup!

Waking up is a good hour long process for Grace. She starts out by stirring and grunting a lot. This can go on for a good hour before she actually wakes up! This gives mommy lots of time to get used to the idea of getting up at 2 AM and fix a bottle for her.

Lately I've been really really lucky…if Grace wakes up in the middle of the night, I feed her, change her, swaddle her up again, and then put her in her Rock 'n Play…and she puts herself to sleep. I know, I'm amazed too! I keep waiting for it to end, but I really hope that it doesn't. I DO have to make sure that she's pretty much sleeping the very first time I put her down that night, because she will cry if I just put her in there and walk away.
