OK, I've had many people ask where my next Gracie update is…so here we go!
At the beginning of last month (March) I went on a 3 day site visit for work, so Eric was doing every solo for a few days. He admitted when I already knew: It's a lot harder doing everything by yourself! Drop offs and pickups from daycare and bath time and feeding. You don't get to sit down until 9 PM! My site visit to NYC was not without incident…we got caught in a large snow storm, and our return flight got canceled because a fellow Delta flight at the airport nearby went off the runway. We ended up taking the train home and got back around midnight!
Soon after Grace started crawling she began to pull herself up to everything. Couches…chairs…the TV stand…she even uses our pants to pull herself up! Once she's up, sometimes she'll even stand by herself unassisted for a few seconds before she sits down. It looks like walking isn't too far behind…oh boy!
Grace has started clapping her hands, and this past weekend, she even seemed to begin waving. It's more of a whole arm wave, but it's still pretty cute! She claps unprovoked…and usually at the most random times. If you start clapping to try to get her going, she usually looks at you like you're crazy and refuses to follow suit. Once you're done making a fool of yourself and resign yourself to the idea that she won't even bother, THEN she begins clapping :)
No words yet! But Grace makes lots of noises and does say a distinct "da da da" sound, although it's not in reference to Eric (yet). Grace also has one new tooth, and two more just popping through! This will bring the total up to 7 teeth. She has been taking the teething like a champ…I am so proud of her. She is such a good natured baby.
And now…for the pictures….of course!
